SWIMMING LESSON FAQs
- 01
There MUST be three (3) swimmers at a minimum each month in each practice group in order to run that practice group. Groups may be combined for a month where there are fewer than three swimmers in a given group.
Parents will be asked to sign their swimmer(s) in and out with the coach at each practice.
Swimmers and families MUST follow the CCHC locker room policy that is posted. NO swimmer may be in the locker room without a parent (none of our swimmers are old enough). CCHC recommends using the family rooms.
If Kyrra is absent/out, she will do her best to find another instructor to cover her practice(s), but please know if that is not possible, we may need to cancel any affected practices.
Families must give a 15-day notice to remove their Competitive Practice option from their CCHC membership account. There is a form that will be posted online to fill out to cancel, and it will notify Kayme (Aquatics Director) and Alex (Membership Manager). If you need something before that is established, please email Kayme.
Competitive Practices are for CCHC MEMBERS ONLY and swimmers who are UNATTACHED in USA Swimming. Verification of UNATTACHED status may be requested.

If you choose to participate in USA Swimming swim meets during the short course and/or long course seasons, the following guidelines apply:
Annual USA Swimming registration fees must be kept current each calendar year and are the responsibility of the swimmer’s parent/guardian. Additional information on USA Swimming membership/registration is available on their website.
Individual swim meet registration and related fees must be completed by the swimmer’s parent/guardian. We will share out a list of Montana Swimming scheduled swim meets Kyrra is tentatively planning to attend and be available as a coach soon. Know, however, as an UNATTACHED swimmer, you are allowed to attend any/all Montana Swimming meets and out-of-state meets (subject to time qualifications where applicable). A complete list of upcoming Montana Swimming meets/events is available on their website.
We are going to start looking at how to get Kyrra set up to attend swim meets with the swimmers. She is allowed to be there with them once she is certified with USA Swimming.
PLEASE NOTE: There will be an extra fee that will be charged to swimmers attending each meet Kyrra is at to help cover Kyrra’s travel expenses. That cost would vary each meet as it would be split between the swimmers attending, but the total is to be determined. If the cost is too hefty, we might have to look at other options to help raise money to cover that.
